Tevez sets sights on Golden Boot

Manchester City ace Carlos Tevez insists he has not given up hope of catching Wayne Rooney in the Premier League scoring charts.

The former Red Devil is currently eight goals behind his ex-team-mate despite his double in City's impressive 4-2 weekend win over Chelsea.

Although Tevez is some distance behind free-scoring Rooney in the race to be the Premier League's leading marksman, he is not prepared to throw in the towel.

"Yes I would like that," said Tevez of the Premier League's Golden Boot prize.

"It would be an achievement against the league's great players.

"I just want to keep going at the maximum level for the rest of the season and help the team win."
