Chelsea captain John Terry will miss his club's two-game U.S. tour because of an ankle injury.
The defender was injured May 11 against Aston Villa and did not play in the Blues' 2-1 win over Benfica in last week's Europa League final.
Left back Ryan Bertrand is skipping the tour because of a knee injury.
In its final games under interim manager Rafa Benitez, Chelsea plays Manchester City on Thursday in St. Louis and on Saturday in New York.
