BERN, Switzerland -- The Swiss Olympic committee says women's league soccer player Teuta Syla has been banned for one year for doping.

The Olympic body says Syla tested positive for two stimulants, ephedrine and oxilofrine, after a match last May.

Syla scored 32 goals last season to help Rapperswil-Jona earn promotion to the top division. Rapperswil-Jona is in last place this season, with Syla scoring five goals.

Swiss Olympic says its disciplinary committee applied the one-year ban from Jan. 15.

Oxilofrine is often found in weight-loss supplements, and is the substance Asafa Powell tested positive for in 2013. The former 100-meter world record holder from Jamaica served a six-month ban.
