Sweden overcame a sluggish first half to beat 10-man San Marino 5-0 in a Euro 2012 qualifier on Tuesday.

After a scoreless first half, San Marino's hopes of pulling off an upset faded when Davide Simoncini was sent off with his second booking in the 52nd minute.

Kim Kallstrom gave Sweden the lead in the Group E match with a diagonal strike that beat goalkeeper Federico Valentini in the 64th.

Six minutes later Christian Wilhemsson picked up Kallstrom's chipped pass in the area and hoofed the ball over Valentini.
