Sunderland, QPR draws 0-0 in Premier League
Queens Park Rangers remains winless in the Premier League after drawing 0-0 with Sunderland in Harry Redknapp's first game in charge of the last-place team.
The result at least ended QPR's sorry run of three straight losses, while only a second clean sheet of the campaign will provide some comfort to Redknapp, who replaced the fired Mark Hughes as manager on Saturday.
Jamie Mackie squandered QPR's best chance in a poor match played in torrential rain, with the forward seeing his low shot saved by Sunderland goalkeeper Simon Mignolet in the 38th minute.
Steven Fletcher wasted decent chances either side of halftime for Sunderland, which stayed fifth from bottom to keep the pressure on manager Martin O'Neill. The team was booed off at the final whistle.
