Street to be named after late goalkeeper Enke

The city of Hannover plans to name a street after the late goalkeeper Robert Enke before the first anniversary of his suicide on Nov. 10.
The former Hannover and Germany goalkeeper had been suffering form depression and threw himself in front of a train last year.
Mayor's office manager Klaus Timaeus tells Wednesday's edition of the Hannoversche Allgemeine newspaper a street near the stadium is likely to be chosen after consultations with the Bundesliga club and Enke's widow Teresa.
German federation, Bundesliga and Hannover representatives plan to lay wreaths at Enke's grave on Nov. 10.
