Late goals by Jonathan Walters and Cameron Jerome gave Stoke a 2-1 win over Newcastle on Wednesday to extend its unbeaten home run this season to four Premier League matches.

After Stoke had conceded just its second league goal at Brittania Stadium this season through Papiss Cisse in the 47th minute, Walters leveled in the 81st and Jerome struck the winner four minutes later to keep Newcastle winless in seven straight matches in all competitions.

Stoke has four wins and three draws at home this season to rise two spots to sit 12th in the league standings, only four points from the Europa League spot. Newcastle stayed 14th, just three points above the relegation zone following the team's terrible run.
