Stoke boss Tony Pulis is desperate to add to his wing options this season and tabled an offer for Kightly after being put off by Wolves' asking price for Matt Jarvis. The Midlands outfit are also determined to get as much as possible for Kightly, who is entering the final year of his contract at Molineux, but the 26-year-old will be allowed to leave Molineux for the right price, and Stoke are expected to make an improved offer. Kightly impressed during the second half of last season at Wolves after returning at Christmas following a successful spell on loan at Watford.
