Stoke extended its away hoodoo over West Bromwich Albion by winning 1-0 from Dean Whitehead's late goal in the Premier League on Saturday.
Whitehead converted a cross from fellow substitute Michael Kightly to earn Stoke its first away league win since January.
West Brom has now lost all four matches against Stoke at the Hawthorns in Premier League history, failing to even score a single goal. It was also the second loss in a row for the Baggies following their midweek defeat by Swansea.
Stoke stayed in ninth place in the standings, four points from the Europa League spot currently held by West Brom in fifth spot.
