Stockdale signs new deal with Fulham

Goalkeeper David Stockdale has signed a four-year contract extension with
Fulham and joined npower Championship club Ipswich on a season-long loan.

The 25-year-old, who started his career at York, joined the Cottagers from
Darlington in 2008, and had loan stints with Rotherham, Leicester and Plymouth
before making a good impression in the 2-2 draw against Manchester United in
August 2010.

Last season, Stockdale stood in for number one Mark Schwarzer on 10 occasions,
and was called into the England squad for the first time, and will now be hoping
for regular football at Portman Road.
