Former Belgium striker Stein Huysegems has signed to play for the Wellington Phoenix in Australian football's A-League.
The 30-year-old Huysegems played 15 matches for Belgium between 2004 and 2009, more than 100 matches for Lierse between 1998 and 2003 and rejoined the club last season after playing at AZ, Feyenoord, Twente and Royal Genk.
Phoenix coach Ricki Herbert said ''we've signed a player whose experience and ability to score goals will add a lot to the team.''
The Phoenix play their opening A-League match against Sydney FC on Oct. 6.
