Eugene Starikov, a 22-year-old forward with Zenit St. Petersburg, has been added to the U.S. soccer team's training camp ahead of a Jan. 22 exhibition against Chile.
Starikov was born in Odessa, Ukraine, and was raised in Florida. He attended Stetson and signed with Zenit two years ago. He spent the second half of last year on loan to Russia's Tom Tomsk, where he had one goal in nine games.
New York Red Bulls forward Juan Agudelo reported to the training camp after spending five days with the U.S. Under-20 team in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
