Sporting has completed the signing of Atletico Madrid striker
Florent Sinama-Pongolle.
The Portuguese league club announced the deal on Monday,
saying the player had passed a medical test.
Sporting says the 25-year-old player agreed to a contract
that keeps him with the Lisbon team through 2013, with Spanish
press reports putting the transfer at around €6 million ($8.6
million).
The former Liverpool striker has spent most of his season and
a half at the Vicente Calderon coming off the bench, with Sergio
Aguero and Diego Forlan regulars in the team's lineup.
