Spike Lee wants FIFA to ``Do the Right Thing'' and award the World Cup to the United States in 2018 or 2022.
The film director joined the board Monday of the USA Bid Committee trying to win the right to host soccer's top tournament.
Lee is a fan of Arsenal and is a season ticket holder of Inter Milan. He often is seen at Knicks and Yankees games in New York.
England, Netherlands-Belgium, Russia, Spain-Portugal, Australia and Japan also are bidding to host both World Cups. Indonesia, Qatar and South Korea are bidding for 2022 only.
