Spanish referee Carlos Velasco will take charge of the all-Portuguese Europa League final between FC Porto and Braga on Wednesday.

UEFA has appointed the 40-year-old Velasco for the match in Dublin after giving him control of the Champions League semifinal match between Schalke and Manchester United in Germany.

Velasco has officiated 13 matches in the Champions League and Europa League over the past two seasons without showing a red card.

He joined the FIFA international list of referees in 2005.
