A Spanish fruit company hopes its delicious melons will help energize Spain's European Championship bid following its opening draw against Italy.

A truck filled with the fruit was delivered to the World Cup champions' training base in northern Poland, with the team having already enjoyed the ''frog-skinned'' melons for breakfast Tuesday morning. Frog skin refers to the color of the fruit.

Spanish sports daily AS organized the 1,865-mile delivery from El Monarca, which is based in Murcia, Spain.

Spain's bid to become the first team to win three straight major titles continues Thursday against Group C rival Ireland.
