Spanish national team coach Vicente del Bosque called up Valencia striker Aritz Aduriz on Monday to replace injured Liverpool forward Fernando Torres for the upcoming 2012 European Championship qualifiers against Lithuania and Scotland.

Aduriz was one of four new faces brought into the Spain squad due to injuries. The other three are right winger Pablo Hernandez, also from league-leader Valencia, and midfielders Bruno Soriano and Borja Valero from second-placed Villarreal.

They replace Liverpool's Torres, Barcelona's Pedro Rodriguez and Jesus Navas, after all three picked up problems playing for their clubs over the weekend.

The World Cup winners are also without Barcelona midfielder Xavi Hernandez, Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas and Real Madrid's Raul Albiol because of injury.
