Stoke City manager Tony Pulis is confident goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen is on the brink of signing a new contract.
Sorensen's current deal expires in the summer and talks have taken place in recent weeks regarding an extension.
The 34-year-old has not played in the Premier League since October after losing his place to Asmir Begovic, but he is the Potters' first choice in the FA Cup.
Pulis confirmed an agreement is close with the Denmark international and revealed Sorensen will retain his place if Stoke reach the FA Cup semi-finals.
"He's been talking now about a new deal with the board," said Pulis.
"We hope that'll be done in the next couple of days.
"Thomas has played in all the FA Cup games and, if we were fortunate to beat West Ham on Sunday, Thomas would play at Wembley."
Sorensen joined Stoke from Aston Villa in 2008 and he has made a total of 87 first-team appearances for the club.
