Soccer violence results in 85 arrests in Germany

German authorities say 85 people were arrested and at least nine were injured when soccer fans fought each other and police in three cities over the weekend.

Police said on Sunday that the disturbances involving supporters of several Bundesliga clubs occurred in Berlin, Bochum and Bielefeld.

A match between the youth teams of Schalke and Borussia Dortmund had to be abandoned after 25 minutes because of fighting between rival fans.
