Slow-starting Potters concern keeper
For the second time in the space of a week the Potters had to come from behind in the second half to earn something at the Britannia Stadium. They first beat Aston Villa on Monday 2-1 late in the day, as well as needing a second-half header from Kenwyne Jones to claim a 1-1 draw with West Ham. Tony Pulis' team have not enjoyed their best start to the season and have often struggled to stamp their authority on games early on, but Sorensen was determined to see things change. "We have to start playing from the first whistle, not from the whistle in the second half," he said. "They came here to kill the pace of the game and it worked well for them in the first half. But we came back and we could have won it again like we did against Villa." Stoke assistant Dave Kemp has also praised new signing Jermaine Pennant for his contribution since joining the club on loan from Real Zaragoza. The former Liverpool winger set up Jones with a brilliant cross to score the equaliser against the Hammers, and Kemp was delighted to have him. "Jermaine's conducting himself very well. He's been brilliant," said Kemp. "He's a major talent and maybe he's realised he's had enough of moving from club to club and he'll find himself a home here."
