Sevilla defender Fernando Navarro has agreed to a three-year contract extension that will keep him at the Andalusian club until 2016.
The 29-year-old player led Sevilla in minutes played last season after arriving in 2008 from Mallorca.
Navarro formed part of Spain's 2008 European championship team.
Sevilla is undefeated and fifth in the Spanish league after nine rounds.
