Serie B educating players on match-fixing dangers
Italy's Serie B is fighting back against match-fixing by sending the league's lawyer to educate players and coaches at all 22 clubs about the legal dangers involved.
Guido Camera represents Serie B in ongoing legal cases in Cremona, Bari and Naples, which have resulted in bans for several players, as well as point penalties to some clubs.
The first meeting was held with Brescia on Tuesday and the second with Varese on Wednesday.
Camera says he is educating players on their duties to report fixing if they become aware of it, legal consequences, and the league's attempt to prosecute those responsible for sports fraud.
Juventus manager Antonio Conte served a four-month ban at the start of this season for failing to report fixing when he coached Siena two years ago.
