Serie A match between Bologna and Chievo postponed

The Serie A match between Bologna and Chievo Verona was postponed Sunday after heavy snowfall at Bologna's Dall'Ara stadium.

Snow started falling in the city at about midday and was continuing to fall when the decision was made.

The 1400 GMT kickoff was initially pushed back as officials and club staff attempted to make the pitch playable and both sides had changed and warmed up in anticipation of kicking off.

Bologna captain Marco Di Vaio and his Chievo counterpart Sergio Pellissier both checked the state of pitch.

No date has yet been set for the rescheduled match.
