Serie A 'appeals' to Sandro
The Brazil international has been at White Hart Lane since 2010, with Spurs spotting his potential early. The 22-year-old has become a key part of Harry Redknapp's plans and was handed a new five-year contract in September. That agreement will take him through to 2016, with Tottenham keen to ensure that they benefit from the best years of his career. Anything is possible in football, though, and Sandro's agent admits there is no guarantee that the midfielder will see out his deal with Spurs. He insists no bids have been lodged for the Samba star ahead of the January transfer window, but admits his client is eager to take on new challenges and continuously test himself. "He's doing very well. He has recovered from his injury and is being eased back in by Tottenham," Luiz Paulo Chignall told notiziariosportivo.com on a man who has been linked with Barcelona and Roma. "Sandro played well in last season's Champions League and attracted the attention of several European sides. "Many clubs have contacted me for information on his situation, but there has been no official proposal. "He's a Tottenham player and any possible negotiations must pass through the club. "A move to Italy? Sandro is interested in playing in the major leagues, and Serie A is one of them. "But his contract was renewed because the club considers him to be an important player. "In football you can never rule anything out, though, with it possible that negotiations will see all parties reach an agreement."
