Danko Lazovic fired World Cup-bound Serbia to a 1-0 victory over Northern Ireland in an international friendly on Saturday.

The Serbia captain finished off a well-worked move after 57 minutes at Windsor Park.

Zoran Tosic ran at the home defense and delivered a low cross, Gojko Kacar stepped over the ball to allow Lazovic to fire home a low, 20-meter drive.

Serbia should have been ahead in the first half and Zdravko Kuzmanovic fired tamely over the bar after a good move just before halftime.

In the second half, Northern Ireland's Warren Feeney failed to turn home a cross from Chris Brunt who fired wide three minutes later.

After Lazovic had fired the Serbs ahead, Northern Ireland almost equalized two minutes from the end when David Healy ran at the defense down the left side, but his shot flew wide of the far post.
