Birmingham City have bolstered their striking options with the signing of West Ham's Robert Hall.

The 19-year-old striker has agreed a loan deal which will see him remain at St Andrews until January 12th, with an option for that to be extended.

The England Under 19 international has previously enjoyed loan stints at Milton Keynes Dons and Oxford United.

Birmingham boss Lee Clark was delighted, saying: "Rob is a very quick-footed attacker who has got great ability to go past defenders and creates great opportunities for himself and others.

"He's also got a great strike of the ball so I'm looking forward to working with him and he's excited about the challenge.

"It was quite a coup getting Rob because he's been doing really well in the development squad at West Ham which has got him on the bench for most of the season in the Premier League.

"I have got to thank Sam Allardyce for allowing this one to happen. In all honesty, I didn't think he'd allow Rob to come as he's been a big part of their squad but thankfully he has. We're now looking forward to working with him."

The 25-year-old is reunited with Michael Appleton, who managed the former Dagenham man at Portsmouth earlier this season.

Thomas scored three times for Pompey in six games before returning to Bournemouth, but has found his first-team opportunities limited at the Goldsands Stadium, making just one substitute appearance.

And with the Cherries re-signing Brett Pitman from Bristol City on loan, Thomas has made the move to the Seasiders until the New Year.

The England Under-19 winger, who has yet to make a first-team appearance, will stay at Valley Parade for two months and will go straight into the squad for the weekend game at Bristol Rovers.

Turgott, a regular this season for the Hammers development squad, has played for England Under-16's and 17's and has made five appearances for John Peacock's Under-19's, scoring three goals.

The 19-year-old has joined on a short-term deal which will keep him at the Dons until January 1. He is eligible to face MK Dons in the FA Cup.

Ardley has also brought in former Kettering Town midfielder Ryan Hervel, who has signed on a short-term deal as he has been without a club.

"We have a busy period coming up and we are in a dogfight. Good players like this do not become available too often so we have to utilise them," Ardley told the club's official website.

"We have had rave reviews about Paul. I have had contacts ringing me up and telling me how good a player he is and I have spoken to Ian Hendon, his U21s manager at West Ham, and he believes Paul will be ideal for us. He is a big, strong lad, who links the play up well.

"Ryan was at Kettering at the start of the season, but he had to leave due to financial problems at the club. With us having so many loan players, it was a good opportunity to sign Ryan, who was without a club.

"I watched Ryan at the Bailey Elite Academy and he has very good qualities, which can help us out. It is also a chance for Ryan to prove himself before January."

The 31-year-old was released by Hibs at the end of last season, just after returning from a long lay-off caused by a hip problem.

The former Rangers and Norwich player subsequently spent some time in the USA looking to continue his playing career, but has now moved into management with the Irn-Bru First Division bottom club.

Dumbarton chief executive Gilbert Lawrie said: "Ian's playing background together with his burning desire to succeed as a manager fits perfectly with our own views, especially with respect to youth development."

Murray will take over from caretaker boss Jack Ross, who will act as his assistant, after Saturday's clash at Dunfermline.

Last weekend's 1-0 defeat against Hearts means Saints have now lost six SPL games in a row and sit just a single point ahead of Saturday's opponents.

Lennon admitted after the reverse at Tynecastle that his side are in a relegation battle right now.

But the Buddies boss is confident they will no longer be in such a precarious position come the end of the season when it really matters.

He said: "I'm not worried at all. We've got 24 games still to go, it's a marathon.

"I know what I'm going to get from the players most weeks.

"Four of those six games could have gone either way so we are not far away performance-wise.

"Last week, we showed a great fighting spirit in being difficult to beat and a deflected goal was the difference between the two sides.

"With the players, my staff, the board and the fans all being as one, we will be stronger and more difficult to beat and hopefully, beginning on Saturday, we can start to climb that table again."

Saints failed to take any points from meetings with St Johnstone, Celtic, Dundee United, Hibernian and Aberdeen, as well as Hearts.

Lennon added: "We can't ignore the recent run of results.

"But we have a group of guys who are willing to go out there and fight and play for the black and white jersey and give their all.

"We've got 135 years of wonderful club history and we want to add to that and keep it going.

"It's going to take us getting our sleeves rolled up and a lot of hard work.

"The work and commitment from the boys has been second to none, they're a pleasure to work with.

"If I had to pick a group of guys to go into the trenches with, these are the ones I would have.

"We certainly believe we are sitting in a false position at this minute in time but the table doesn't lie.

"I feel that we have the quality to progress up the table."

The Saints boss takes some comfort from the tight nature of the SPL this season.

He said: "It's very close. There are seven points between ourselves and the top six. We know how quickly it can turn around.

"What we have to do - and there is no hiding from it - is start picking up points and winning football games again."

The Charlton hitman has been in fine form for the Iron since arriving in early September, scoring 11 goals in 14 appearances, and Laws was expecting to lose him on loan transfer deadline day.

Laws told the club's official website: "The good news is that Leon Clarke is going nowhere, which is a big positive because I thought he was going to be recalled.

"I spoke to Leon on Thursday morning. In fact, the first thing I did was look to see if he was in training! The fact that he was is encouraging.

"Charlton have had offers (to take him on loan now and buy him in January), but they are not quite what Leon is looking for, so he will stay with us until December 8 and then return to Charlton.

"That is a big plus for us and has put a big smile on a few people's faces, in particularly mine."

The 19-year-old forward, who came through the youth academy at Nottingham Forest before signing for the Blues in a million pound-plus deal last season, will remain at stadium:mk until January 7, 2013.

Bamford is set to link up with his new team-mates on Friday ahead of the Dons' League One fixture at home to Colchester the following day and he will be available to play against the U's.

The youngster, capped twice at England Under-19 level, will be eligible for the much-anticipated FA Cup second-round clash against AFC Wimbledon next month.

Bamford has yet to make an appearance for the Blues first team but has featured regularly for their Under-21 side, scoring six goals in seven fixtures last term.

The Irn-Bru First Division side stretched their unbeaten run to six games last Saturday with a 2-1 win over Falkirk, days after John Hughes quit to take over at Hartlepool.

A club statement read: "Following discussions between members of the board of Livingston Football Club and director of football John Collins with regards to the vacant manager's position at the club, it has been agreed that first-team duties will be continue to be shared by current first-team staff members Gareth Evans and Richie Burke for the foreseeable future."

Livingston said that Collins felt continuity of coaching methods was crucial with the focus on promoting youth development and apprentice footballers.

They added that the "matter will be reviewed in due course if deemed required".

The 24-year-old, who is yet to make an appearance for the Tangerines, will be at Glanford Park until January 5.

The Algerian was signed by former Blackpool boss Ian Holloway in August, after he worked under the manager at Leicester.

Djeziri has been on the books at Rangers, Boldklubben Frem, Portsmouth, FC Hjxrring, Vejle Boldklub, HB Kxge and Viborg FF.
