Rangers maintained its 10-point lead over city rival Celtic on
Saturday with a 3-0 win over Falkirk in the Scottish Premier
League.
Steven Davis scored the first goal in the 18th minute and set
up two more in the second half to keep Rangers well clear of
Celtic, which won 1-0 at Hamilton through Denmark striker Morten
Rasmussen's first goal for the club.
Davis curled in a free kick at Ibrox and crossed to John
Fleck to make it 2-0 12 minutes into the second half. Five minutes
later, he passed to Steven Whittaker, who scored with a low shot
from just inside the area.
Defending champion Rangers has 54 points, although Celtic has
played a game fewer for its 44.
Third-place Hibernian beat St. Mirren 2-1, St. Johnstone beat
Hearts 1-0 and Dundee United drew 4-4 at Kilmarnock having led 3-1
after just 33 minutes.
