Rangers' lead at the top of the Scottish Premier League was trimmed
to eight points after being held to a 1-1 draw at Motherwell while
second-place Celtic beat Hearts 2-0 on Wednesday.
Defending champion Rangers was heading for a loss until Kris
Boyd leveled in the 80th minute at Motherwell, which had led
through Tom Hateley's first-half free kick.
Celtic's victory came after they scored twice inside two
second-half minutes.
Glenn Loovens put Celtic ahead in the 49th and Marc-Antonie
Fortune calmly slid in a second after being sent clear by Aiden
McGeady.
Also Wednesday, substitute Abdessalam Benjelloun scored an
88th-minute equalizer from the penalty spot as Hibernian came from
two goals down to draw 2-2 with Aberdeen.
Hamilton moved off the bottom thanks to a goal from each of
the Paixao twins - Flavio and Marco - clinched a 2-0 victory over
Dundee United.
Falkirk went bottom with a 1-0 home loss to Kilmarnock, while
St. Mirren drew 1-1 with St. Johnstone.
