Bayern Munich says Bastian Schweinsteiger has returned to light training as the midfielder makes his recovery from an ankle injury.
The Bundesliga club says Schweinsteiger took part in a few light runs on Thursday, three weeks after tearing a right ankle ligament in a 2-0 cup win at Stuttgart.
Schweinsteiger had already missed two months of the season with a broken collarbone. He had also been nursing left knee problems.
Bayern says his training intensity will increase over the coming days.
