Sandro: Title push still on
Sandro did not feature during the 3-2 defeat at the Etihad Stadium due to a calf injury, but saw enough to remain confident of Tottenham continuing their title push.
"We've still got our minds on the title, for sure," he told FIFA.com.
"That's been our objective since we started working our way up to the top of the table.
"We've got a great squad, and we've got to think bigger than just a Champions League place."
Sandro has not featured since limping off against West Brom on January 3, and his absence has coincided with a slight dip of form for Spurs.
The north Londoners are unbeaten in the 10 league matches the Brazilian midfielder has started and he hopes his impending return can help in their title push.
"I've been thinking about that run lately and the other wins we've had when I've come off the bench," Sandro said.
"I'm pleased with the stats and with how it's all working out."
He added: "Things have gone well whenever I've played this season, and that's why I feel we're still in the mix for the title."
