Against a background of transfer reports, Steve Kean's team have got off to a terrible start to the season after losing games to Wolves and Aston Villa. Blackburn's owners, Venky's, have most recently been attempting to sign Schalke's Spanish legend, Raul, while they have in the past been linked with David Beckham and Ronaldinho. But ahead of the August 31 transfer deadline, and with Blackburn apparently on the brink of signing Vedad Ibisevic and Simon Vukcevic, Salgado has urged his club to concentrate on Premier League points. The former Real Madrid defender, who played with Raul at the Bernabeu, said: "We need to know now the players are committed to the team and the club. "If we are focused we can turn things around easily and if we know who's going to be playing with us. "We are talking about new signings and rubbish like that but we need to focus in the games because the Premier League is too demanding and too tight. "You can see every year it becomes even tighter so you have to be focused in any game. "We're days away from the window closing and we don't know if new signings are coming or if any other players are leaving. That's very difficult. We need to know that as soon as possible. "It's very difficult for the manager to work like that and we need to help him. "I hope we see a different Blackburn in September."
