PSV enjoyed a comfortable 3-0 win over Spakenburg in the KNVB Beker on Wednesday night. They eased through to the round of 16 with victory over the amateur side to maintain their impressive form which has seen them lose just one match this season. Rutten was pleased with his team's efforts and told the club's official website, psv.nl: "We're satisfied, we've progressed to the next round. "We won the match with a team that normally doesn't play in all matches and there were some very positive things, like Stanislav Manolev returning to match action for a full hour. "We are pleased to be in the next round, we are satisfied. "Now we must look to our next game on Saturday." PSV will be looking for their sixth home win, and 10th overall in the Eredivisie this season, when they host Excelsior on Saturday although they will be hoping the game will be less dramatic than their previous outing at FC Utrecht. The Philips Stadion side were forced to play for almost an hour with 10 men after Jonathan Reis was given a straight red card just after the half hour. Despite this they took a two-goal lead thanks to a Balazs Dzsudzsak double before the hosts, themselves reduced to 10 men with 15 minutes left, pulled one back with nine minutes to go. PSV held on to remain one point behind leaders FC Twente who face a difficult trip to NAC Breda. While poor away form sees NAC in 11th place, they have enjoyed more success at the Rat Verlegh Stadion where they have claimed five victories and suffered just one defeat. The other match on Saturday sees Roda JC, in fifth, look to close the gap on fourth-placed FC Groningen when they host Utrecht, who have lost five of their seven away games. Ajax also face a difficult game when they travel to face AZ Alkmaar on Sunday. They are currently three points behind PSV but the Amsterdam side have a significantly inferior goal difference although they have yet to be beaten away from home. Groningen will be aiming to translate their near-perfect home form into success on the road when they visit Heracles who are languishing too close for comfort near the foot of the table. Feyenoord, who are enduring a torrid time, will target just their fourth win of the season when they host Heerenveen, ADO Den Haag visit NEC while struggling pair VVV Venlo and Vitesse Arnhem meet. The only match on Friday sees rock-bottom Willem II host De Graafschap.
