The 24-year-old has been in impressive form since joining the Canaries from Everton in 2010 and has been watched twice this season by Capello's goalkeeping scout Ray Clemence. Although Ruddy admits that getting a maiden call-up for his country may not be possible for the moment, he insists that he will continue to give his best for Norwich in an effort to feature for the Three Lions. "Obviously it's everybody's ambition to play for their country," he said. "I'm not expecting a call-up but I know I have been watched and if I keep playing well that can only improve my chances. "I'm trying not to think too much about England. I just have to concentrate on playing as well as I can for Norwich. "But midfielder Bradley Johnson was named recently in England's provisional squad of 30, so it proves they are looking at our club." Ruddy will be action for Norwich against Liverpool at Anfield in the Premier League on Saturday evening, and the former Everton custodian wants the Merseyside club not to consider them easy pushovers. "I expect to be under pressure at Liverpool but hopefully I won't get any stick from the Kop - they probably won't even remember that I used to play for Everton," he explained. "I've never played there before but I was on the bench for a Merseyside derby and the atmosphere was just incredible. "It was an exceptional occasion and I'm looking forward to this game. "Liverpool are quality, with some world class players and we know we will have to do a lot of defending. "But we aren't going there just to lie down and take a beating."
