Burton boss Gary Rowett has issued a rallying call to Albion fans ahead of the club's League Two promotion run-in.

Tuesday night's 2-0 victory over Wycombe was a ninth win in the last 10 matches at the Pirelli Stadium for the Brewers and moved them back into the automatic promotion places ahead of the visit of Plymouth on Saturday.

With just three games remaining, Rowett hopes his side can stay in the top three and he insists the supporters can play their part.

"The fans have been fantastic all season, both home and away, and we'll be counting on their support more than ever as we make a final push for promotion," said Rowett.

"Burton is a family-centred and community-focused club and it would be great to capture the hearts and minds of the local people ahead of a big game on Saturday.

"We've made the Pirelli Stadium a fortress this season and what we do this weekend will go a long way in deciding how this season pans out. The supporters certainly have a huge part to play."
