Czech Republic captain Tomas Rosicky has returned to Poland after treatment of an Achilles tendon injury that forced him to miss his team's 1-0 victory over Poland.

Rosicky returned from Prague on Tuesday afternoon. It is still not clear if he will recover in time for Thursday's European Championship quarterfinal match against Portugal in Warsaw.

Czech team spokesman says Rosicky should undergo a fitness test at the pre-match training on Wednesday.

Rosicky picked up the injury during last Tuesday's 2-1 win over Greece and hasn't trained since. He was ruled out hours before Saturday's game in Wroclaw and his place in the midfield went to Daniel Kolar.

The Arsenal playmaker previously said he has only a small chance of recovering for Thursday.
