Wayne Rooney salvaged a 2-2 draw for Manchester United against Aalborg on Wednesday in the Champions League, enough for the defending champions to win Group E and avoid the top seeded teams in the knockout round.
United took the lead at Old Trafford when Carlos Tevez scored in the third minute, but Michael Jakobsen headed Aalborg level in the 32nd and Jeppe Curth put the Danish club ahead in similar fashion in first-half injury time.
