Rooney hearing date brought forward
Wayne Rooney's appeal against his three-match international ban has been brought forward 24 hours to December 8.
The England striker is set to serve a suspension after seeing red in the Three Lions' final Euro 2012 qualifier against Montenegro on October 7.
As things stand, the Manchester United forward is due to sit out the group stage of next summer's European Championships.
The Football Association are hoping to see his ban reduced on appeal and have taken their case to European football's governing body.
A UEFA Appeals Body hearing is due to take place, with a date now set for December 8, following a request from the FA to have it moved forward.
Rooney will be in Switzerland with United on December 7 for a Champions League clash with FC Basel and the FA feel it will make travel arrangements easier to have the hearing on the Thursday rather than the Friday.
The hearing in Nyon follows UEFA's receipt of an official written appeal on November 4.
