Roma captain Francesco Totti has been ruled out of Sunday's derby with Lazio due to a right thigh injury.
The 35-year-old Totti was injured in Roma's 3-1 win over Atalanta this month.
Roma says he needs more physiotherapy and that he will undergo more medical tests next week.
Meanwhile, Lazio is hoping newly signed Germany forward Miroslav Klose can recuperate in time from a left knee injury.

Roma and Lazio both have eight points from their opening five matches, and trail Serie A leader Juventus by three points.
