Rodgers: Swans are ambitious
Rodgers believes that the Swans' performances have shown that they are capable are being more than just a team battling against relegation. The Swans chief maintains that although survival is the main target, they could achieve much more. "Of course this season is ultimately about staying in the league," Rodgers told the South Wales Evening Post. "But I think we have shown that we can be more than a surviving team. "Every game is difficult, in every game you have to find solutions, but I feel we are making progress. "We are very confident that we can continue working well. "We cannot get too disappointed when we lose or draw, and we cannot get too carried away when we win. "It's vital we stay level-headed - that's something I've talked to the players about ever since I came here. Last Saturday was a disappointment for us, but we can't be too disappointed because there were so many great areas of our game. "It's going to be about how we grow this season. "The objective is to make sure we stay in the league, but within my own mind, knowing this group of players, I believe we have the capacity to improve on that. "We can't get too carried away, but as long as there is growth in the team, I will be happy. "Where that takes us, we will have to wait and see."
