Rodallega: Talks can wait

Speculation regarding the striker's future has been building for some time, with various clubs reportedly keen to entice him away from the DW Stadium. The likes of Juventus, Sevilla and Atletico Madrid are all said to be weighing up a January raid for the Colombian frontman. Rodallega is aware of the rumours, but claims to be fully focused on his commitments to Wigan. The Latics are yet to offer him fresh terms, in an effort to fend off the mounting interest, but Rodallega claims he would rather wait until he is back to best before discussions are opened. "At the moment I can think only about Wigan," he said in The Sun. "I know the club wants me to stay but there is still plenty of time for us to talk. "There are many rumours about my future but I am focused on saving Wigan. The Premier League is the best in the world. I came here to triumph, not fail." Rodallega is yet to open his goal account for the 2011/12 campaign and admits that ending his scoring drought is a priority at present. "Each day I dream about my first goal this season and intend to celebrate it at Sunderland (on Saturday)," he said. "I have never lived through a bad run like this and it's normal that I should be worried. "What's happened to me is incredible and I'm very unhappy at my lack of goals. "I'm not doing anything different - just suffering a very bad run. I am a striker and I've not forgotten how to score. "I certainly feel for the fans who have supported me so well since my arrival."
