MK Dons boss Karl Robinson admitted his side's performance in either half of their 1-0 home win against Crewe was poles apart.

Dons extended their unbeaten league run to four matches after striker Charlie MacDonald had pounced on a mistake from Mark Ellis to crash home what was to be the winner inside the first 10 minutes.

Robinson said: "First half we were like Brazil, second half we were like Bridlington.

"It was two complete opposite ends of the spectrum. First half, that's as good a 45 minutes as you're ever going to see in League One.

"When we're that good though we need to be more clinical and take our chances when they come along, which we never did.

"The second half we started slightly sloppily and to be fair to Crewe they came out with all the youthful energy and ability that they've got and made the second half very difficult and really pushed us."
