The 27-year-old became an instant hero for the Welsh outfit when he pushed away Watson's 73rd-minute spot-kick to keep the score at 0-0 and ensured the Swans picked up their first point of the season. The Dutchman was only making his second appearance for the newly-promoted club since signing from Utrecht over the summer. Speaking after the game against the Latics on Saturday Vorm revealed he had seen Watson score a penalty on the opening day of the season and that had played a part in his dramatic save. "I watched the game last week and saw the same Wigan player take a penalty into the same corner," said Vorm. "I just tried to wait as long as possible, went to the right corner and got a hand to it. "I have stopped a lot of penalties in my career. I just try and concentrate and don't think of the crowd and noise and just be myself. "But if the kick is good then you need luck."
