German magazine Kicker says Louis van Gaal will remain as Bayern Munich coach despite three consecutive losses that has left the fifth-place team 19 points behind the Bundesliga lead.
Kicker says Bayern's board met for several hours Sunday and decided to stick with the Dutchman despite the 3-1 loss at Hannover that threatens the team's direct qualification for the Champions League.
Bayern is seven points away from second place and an automatic spot into the Champions League. Bayern has also been ousted from the German Cup.
There was no immediate comment from Bayern.
