Rehhagel picks 3 strikers for Greece's WCup opener
Greece coach Otto Rehhagel picked an aggressive three-man attack to play South Korea on Saturday in the teams' World Cup opener at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
Angelos Charisteas, Georgios Samaras and Fanis Gekas will spearhead the Greeks' attempt to win a first ever match at football's showpiece.
Greece lost all three of its games in its only previous tournament appearance.
Vangelis Moras is missing from the center of Greece's four-man defense for the Group B match because he has only just recovered from a persistent groin injury.
Moras has not been training but should be fit to play Nigeria on June 17.
South Korea is deploying Monaco's Park Chu-young as a lone striker with Yeom Ki-hun in support at the front of a five-man midfield. Jung Sung-ryong will play in goal.
