The Daily Mirror claims chairman Tom Werner and principal owner John Henry will personally conclude negotiations with the Scot this week, with a view to making an announcement ahead of Sunday's clash with Tottenham at Anfield. Victory in that game will clinch Europa League football for next season - a phenomenal result considering the Reds' start to the season under Roy Hodgson. There had been suggestions that Dalglish was stalling over a new contract because he wanted full control over transfers but, according to the Mirror, 'Dalglish has always maintained he is happy to serve the club in any way possible, so that is seen as a formality'.
