Reds agree deal for Heerenveen winger
Liverpool have reached an agreement with Heerenveen to sign winger Oussama Assaidi.
The 24-year-old still has to pass a medical but should that be completed without complication he will become Brendan Rodgers' third signing since he took over from Kenny Dalglish in June.
Assaidi scored 20 goals in 68 appearances for the Dutch club and has 22 caps for Morocco since making his international debut in February 2011.
Earlier today, at a press conference, the Liverpool boss had said he hoped to have news on two potential signings within 48 hours.
Rodgers was strongly linked with loan moves for Barcelona winger Cristian Tello, 21, and Real Madrid midfielder Nuri Sahin, 23, in the last few days and having admitted he did not have much money to spend it was expected these two would be the next to arrive.
However, Assaidi now appears set to join Roma striker Fabio Borini and Swansea midfielder Joe Allen in making his way to Anfield.
He began his career in the youth academy at AZ Alkmaar before joining FC Omniworld and then moving on to De Graafschap in 2008 and Heerenveen the following year.
