Redknapp rules out Wickham bid
Wickham has long been linked with a move to the Premier League following a string of impressive displays for Ipswich in the Championship. Tractor Boys boss Paul Jewell has admitted he may struggle to retain the services of the 18-year-old should he receive an offer of 'silly money', but Redknapp does not plan on making such a bid. He said: "I don't see us paying the sort of money that Ipswich are talking about. "He's not someone who'd be ready to play in the first team next season. He'd be better off staying for another year." Meanwhile, Luka Modric and Vedran Corluka have called on Spurs to focus on finishing fourth in the Premier League after their drubbing by Real Madrid. The north London club suffered a 4-0 reverse in the first leg of their quarter-final clash to see their enthralling European adventure effectively ended for this season. Tottenham will have to climb to into the top four if they are to qualify for a place among the cream of the continent again, with Stoke the visitors to White Hart Lane on Saturday. Modric said: "The opportunity to reach the semi-finals is gone. We need to concentrate on the championship now." Corluka, who could miss Saturday's clash with Stoke with an ankle injury, added: I do not expect a miracle in the second leg."
