The chief executive of Rangers football club has warned the team's players against refusing to transfer their contracts to the new company that owns the indebted Scottish club.
Charles Green says he'll take dissident players - and any club attempting to sign them - to court.
Green leads a consortium that earlier this month purchased the assets of the 140-year-old club after British tax authorities had rejected a deal to save Rangers from bankruptcy as they seek to pursue individuals for money owed.
Rangers' place in the top tier of Scottish football remains uncertain.
Last week, the Scottish Premier League omitted the club from the fixture list for next season, pending the league's decision over Rangers' application to transfer their place to a newco.
The decision on the application is expected July 4.
Rangers' tax debts of 21 million pounds ($32.5 million) are among the club's liabilities.
