A hearing into seven charges brought against Queens Park Rangers over the signing of Argentine midfielder Alejandro Faurlin will be held on May 3.

QPR, which is the runaway leader of England's second-tier League Championship, has been accused by the Football Association of seven breaches of regulations relating to the third-party ownership of Faurlin.

The club, which denies all the charges, faces the possibility of a points deduction which could threaten its chances of promotion into the Premier League. QPR is nine points clear at the top of its league.

An independent regulatory commission will hear the charges and the FA says a decision should be reached on May 6.
