The Potters have established themselves as a force to be reckoned with in the Premier League over the past couple of years and will now be striving to push further up the league. A host of names have been linked with the club, although Pulis maintains that he is happy with the squad currently at his disposal. The Potters boss recognises that he needs more strength in depth and says funds are available without having to let anybody leave. "We need to bring a few in and we are looking to do that, but the ones that are here are absolutely fantastic," he told Sky Sports News after Saturday's 6-0 pre-season victory over Newcastle Town. Asked if he would have to sell to buy, Pulis continued: "No, not at all. We have been linked with 138 players I am told." One of those consistently connected with Stoke this summer has been Carlton Cole, with reports suggesting that he could join from West Ham in a big-money move. Pulis would not be drawn on his interest in Cole, stating that it was not his policy to make transfer targets public. Questioned on whether Cole was top of his list, Pulis answered: "I have got about 15 who are top of mine at the moment. "We will do our business the way we do our business, and that is by dealing with the other clubs. "We will do deals through the right channels. I don't believe in telling everybody what you are trying to do and what you are not trying to do. "I think that is disrespectful to other clubs."
